A roadworthy is an important safety inspection for your vehicle, carried out by VicRoads‑trained and authorised mechanic. It involves a thorough evaluation of the condition of brakes, suspension, lights and the vehicle’s overall structural integrity. A roadworthy is required in a number of situations, such as when buying or selling a vehicle, clearing defects that require a roadworthy certificate, registering a vehicle and listing a vehicle on the Victorian club permit scheme. There are many different circumstances where a roadworthy may or may not be necessary, so if you’re unsure, get in contact and we’d be happy to advise and help.
